The realm of the dead and underworld, home of demons, lost souls, ogres, face stealers and all manner of beings related to Japanese lore. Izanagi noticed a form floating and ripped a piece of darkness from it and took the last of the dragons flame, creating a realm outside space and time. The realm was connected to the karmic attributes of those alive and blessed with life from the Kami.When they blessed life they were short a keeper of the damned, no other Kami wanted to be exiled. They thought Makiboshi would be perfect, but he must be want it. He was ebbing with Oblivion’s might as he had clutched to it in the void.Izanagi’s wife had summoned the darkness and creatures to inhabit the realm, offering them the keys to the underworld if they had managed to kill Makiboshi. They offered the darkness entity a place amongst them, he accepted and took the guise of a lithe figure in black silken robes and a crimson mask.They noticed his ebbing darkness and presented him with the possibility of ruling the underworld, Izanagi’s wife had kept her dealing separate and hidden from her Eternal Emperor and husband. When he accepted out of naivety he descended and she marked him. For thousands of years he battled hordes unaware of the deal.After winning the crown for the realm he established order. Being the ruler of Yomi meant he had to deal with other Hell Lords. Developing a tenuous diplomacy hekept balance with the other Hellish realms.When he was given the chance to live amongst mortals he jumped and left the realm in the hands of an Ogur Oni. The Ogur caught an angel and held it hostage waiting for it’s master. When the human life cycle ended and he returned, the angel was presented and questioned in the palace of the damned. The angel was given the deal, teach him the esoteric and Enochian and he’d be released.The Hell Wars erupted, the lords of hell fought for any souls and the pantheons warred amongst themselves during the various wars mankind. Upon the eve of the crimson moon the Hell Lord brokered peace.The Pantheon Wars ended when humanity left the Earth.
